THE PUPPY CLUB

The Puppy Club is a specialist puppy socialisation and training club for all puppies between 12 weeks and 12 months – providing them with the tools to grow and develop into balanced, confident, and social young dogs. They will eventually graduate over a 4-week process into our main Dog Club which is fully equipped to integrate with all dog types.

We have spent 15 years breeding, raising puppies and mentoring hundreds of families that have brought a puppy home, so there is no question that we understand how imperative it is to get this stage right – this time with us will help shape the rest of your puppy’s life.

Over the years spent breeding we have collected various award and accolades, not just for conscientious and ethical breeding, but also for a pioneering approach to all aspects of puppy development and care. Utilising world class science-based training programs and training plans. Being able to utilise this knowledge and share it with the puppies that stay with us has been a complete pleasure and a very exciting aspect to our day care.

We are committed to ensure your puppy reaches their full potential with us and learns skills that will equip them for a lifetime.

The Dog Club Maldon

The Puppy Club focuses on these main aspects of puppy raising:

GUIDANCE

Our high staff-to-puppy ratio ensures that your puppy is closely monitored and cared for by our expert team and puppy-to-puppy interaction is managed very carefully. This close attention and guidance helps each pup build confidence and understanding of all the different dogs around them ensuring your puppy grows into a social, happy, and well-balanced adult. This experience will not only help them whilst they stay with us, but also when they return home and venture out and about with you. The skills they learn here will benefit them in all aspects of their life and yours.

CONFIDENCE BUILDING

The activities we provide are positive and based around gentle and structured play, encouraging social awareness and friendly interactions in a relaxed way. Our equipment is gentle on their growing joints and designed to challenge them just enough, whilst letting them build in confidence. We have specific puppy toys and a purpose-built area solely for them to grow in confidence each visit.

STRUCTURE

A puppy will play all day, often to exhaustion and whilst many think a tired puppy is a happy one that is not always the case, so we structure their time carefully to ensure they get the best from their day and thrive.

Sleep and relaxation are a very important aspect to a puppy development. We have designed specific rest areas that are set up to help them settle for much needed sleep and brain rest.

ENRICHMENT

The enrichment we provide is equally calming as it is fun, we teach your puppy how to be busy and entertained without being overstimulated and exhausted. Keeping a puppy occupied whilst not becoming overstimulated is a very important part of their brain development. Rewarding them for being overexcited and boisterous is not productive, and easily done if the people surrounding them are not experienced.

Customer review:

Elsie and Jim have a wonderful time when they stay with Jessica and Steve at what I would call a holiday camp for dogs. We have the peace of mind the dogs are safe and looked after in a great environment where they get to do what dogs love to do under the watchful eyes of the team who know the dogs characteristics and ensure the dogs needs are met. When we get the dogs home we know they have had a wail of a time and enjoyed their holiday as much as we have enjoyed ours.
